When in standard and light industrial applications, the 12v auto gate motors are equally as reliable, efficient and robust as the 240volt gate motors. When high usage applications or larger gates come into play then we, look at using either a heavier duty 240volt automatic gate motor

Using the 12volt automatic gate operators on solar supply is only a matter of adding a solar panel to the unit, as since they are already 12v dc gate motors they don't need any fancy equipment and modifications to make the transistion from regular power automatic gate motor to solar powered automatic gate motor
